"Change the way you work forever"?

... and the chances are you will.  

This is a well written, authentic book that will free up your thinking and bring a bit of joy back into your life.  Well, it did me.  I loved the easy honesty, the unpretentiousness, the stripping away of all the preconceived ideas we have about starting and running a business.

Business consultants and advisers are likely to have a mini fit reading it.  It gives the lie to much of what we're told are the 'essentials' of business.  Fried and Hansson have 'done it their way' and simply show us that we can too. 

So many small businesses suffer, not because they aren't good, but because they end up with a lot of negative emotion attached, often with the owner's motivation shot. This shortish (27,000 words) book is so human, so accepting, and offers a fresh insight into starting and running the business the way YOU want to. It reinvigorates the way you think, "gives you permission" (sorry!) to do your thing, your way, in your business so you end up with a work life you can fully enjoy. Great!

I buy books every month and am rarely without a good business or coaching book to hand. This is one of the best for me, published in 2010. A breath of fresh air in the claustrophobic environment of small business development.
